We lost all six of our Friern League games and only Will Chapman got to the last hole with anything to play for. He lost at the final green whilst most of his team mates were beaten out in the countryside. Nonetheless, as strange as it may sound, they did exceptionally well! Alongside our Friern League team, we had three junior reserve matches and we were well ahead in each of those when play was stopped.

Enfield are the Middlesex champions for the past four seasons. They have wonderful Junior Organisers, Phil and Kathryn Tiddy and they have been running the Junior section at Enfield for nine years. They told me that they were stunned that we held them to a draw at Muswell Hill and they put their strongest side out against us, and they also told me that they meant that as a compliment. Of the nine players who represented Muswell Hill today, only two had played for us before this season. Alex Le Rhun and Zac Sherman had to play off much lower handicaps than their own. And they all played quite wonderfully.

Alex Le Rhun holed an extremely difficult par putt at the tricky 11th from all of 40 feet to win that hole. Zac Sherman birdied the same hole. Oscar Hills birdied it too. There are too many other incidents of great play to relate here but suffice to say that all the coaches are chuffed to bits at how our juniors represent our club.

So, a quick roll-call for our Juniors;

Alex Barnham
Sacha Tobias-Tarsh
Will Chapman
Sean Hayes
Alex Le Rhun
Zac Sherman
John Kichin-Thomas
Oscar Hills
Matan Michaels

Well done all of you; we're very proud of you.
