Muswell Hill Ladies, a very friendly and sociable group, play golf throughout the year.
Monthly qualifying competitions take place on two Sundays and two Tuesdays per month. Members can play at pre-arranged morning tee times, or choose their own. Otherwise, the majority of our competitions are drawn, so new members always have a playing partner.
During the summer months (May to September) a 9 hole stableford qualifier is held every Thursday. This is particularly popular for members who may struggle with a complete round of 18 holes, and those who have limited time but are keen to maintain their handicaps! (The maximum handicap for a ‘full’ Lady Member is 35.)
The Lady Captain organises Spring and Autumn Meetings and her Captain’s Day, all of which are great opportunities for the whole section to meet up, play golf and socialise.
There are a wide range of opportunities to play competitively against other clubs and at senior and inter county level. There are Business Ladies Friendly matches and weekday Friendly matches – usually eight of each per year - to give all members a chance to represent the Club.
There is an annual escape to sunshine golf, with a trip to Turkey this year. The Lady Captain organises a fun ‘away day’ and of course the clubhouse plays host to all members at social events and gatherings throughout the year.
The Club caters for golfers of all abilities, and its recently launched Academy can now provide beginners with an excellent introduction to the game. Our Professionals are always on hand to provide lessons and equipment advice and our ‘buddy’ scheme, which matches new members with longer standing members, makes sure that no-one is left out.
